Rivers Angels delivered a statement performance on Wednesday, defeating Heartland Queens 5–0 in their Round 7 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) clash at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.

The Jewels of Rivers were unstoppable, scoring four goals in the first half and adding one more after the break.
Rivers Angels Dominate From Start to Finish
Head coach of the team, Tosan Blankson, praised his team’s attacking display while urging players to work on their finishing, believing they could have scored even more.
Ramotalahi Kareem led the charge with a brilliant hat-trick, supported by creative assists from Grace Saliu and Abasiofon Uwah, as Rivers Angels displayed their dominance from the first whistle.
Kareem and Uwah Shine in Clinical Attack
The scoring began in the 14th minute when Kareem converted a precise assist from Saliu to give the Port Harcourt ladies an early lead.
Just eight minutes later, Uwah doubled the advantage, again set up by Saliu, putting Heartland Queens on the back foot.
In the 33rd minute, Kareem struck again from a neat pass by Uwah to make it 3–0. Five minutes later, Uwah scored her second, heading in a corner delivered by Polinus Ifeoma, sending the teams into halftime with Rivers Angels comfortably in control at 4–0.

The second half saw Rivers Angels maintain their dominance. In the 58th minute, Kareem completed her hat-trick, sealing a commanding 5–0 victory and capping off a memorable display for both the team and the forward.
With this emphatic win, Rivers ladies have not only strengthened their position in the Super Six race but also sent a clear warning to their rivals.
