A Lagos-based Nigerian rock artist, Bianca Okorocha, professionally known as Clayrocksu, has turned the streets of Lagos into a stage of compassion, serenading commuters and handing out roses in celebration of Valentine’s Day 2026.

On Tuesday, February 10th 2026, the rock musician stepped into busy parts of the city with her guitar, performing romantic songs and surprising passersby with single-stem roses.

The outreach was carried out earlier in the week ahead of Valentine’s Day, which is being marked today, Saturday, February 14th 2026.

Clayrocksu was joined by Daniel Onyemachi-Chiweolu, popularly known as Machigold, as they moved through different locations sharing music, warm smiles and unexpected gestures of kindness.

Commuters paused in the middle of Lagos’ usual hustle to watch the performances, record videos and receive roses from the duo.

Among the songs performed was You Are Beautiful by James Blunt, which Clayrocksu played on her guitar while singing to strangers on the streets.

Some recipients responded with shy laughter, while others expressed visible excitement as they accepted the flowers.

Speaking of the motivation behind the gesture, the rock artist said the goal was to remind people that love extends beyond romantic relationships.

“We just wanted to do something special and nice for people,” she said.

She added that many residents are facing economic pressure and daily stress, and that simple acts of kindness can help people pause and feel appreciated.

“Valentine’s Day is not just about couples.”

“It’s about sharing love in all forms,” she said.

Photographs and videos captured on February 10th 2026 showed the artist singing openly on the streets, handing out roses and exchanging warm hugs with beneficiaries.

As Nigerians celebrate Valentine’s Day today, Saturday, February 14th 2026, Clayrocksu’s street performances stand as a reminder that even in challenging times, small gestures of love can brighten lives and restore hope.
