Nigerian forward Samuel Akere had an impressive outing over the weekend, grabbing a crucial goal to inspire NK Osijek to a well-deserved away victory over Rijeka in the Croatian HNL.

Akere delivered the opening blow as Osijek stunned their hosts with a 2-0 win at the Stadion HNK Rijeka.

The 22-year-old right winger registered his third goal of the season in just 11 appearances.
Interestingly, Akere seems to have a penchant for scoring against this specific opponent; his first goal of the campaign also came against Rijeka back in early February.
In this latest encounter, it took the Nigerian forward only four minutes to fire the visitors into the lead.
Although he was substituted in the 65th minute for Vladan Bubanja, his early impact set the tone before Nail Omerovic wrapped up the points in stoppage time. With this win, Osijek climbs to 9th place on the table with 28 points.
Ayaosi Dominates with Double Assist in Czech Republic
In the Czech Republic 1. Liga, Emmanuel Ayaosi continued his blistering form. The 21-year-old delivered a masterclass, providing a double assist to inspire MFK Karviná to a convincing 3-1 home win over Slovan Liberec.

Ayaosi earned Man of the Match honors after setting up the second and third goals at the Mestský Stadion.
The winger has now provided assists in two consecutive games, following a goal and an assist in his previous outing against Sigma Olomouc.
This latest performance takes his season tally to 13 goal involvements (six goals and seven assists) across all competitions.
The match itself was a spirited comeback for Karviná. After falling behind to a 4th-minute goal by Raimonds Krollis, the hosts equalized just three minutes later through Kahuan Vinícius.
The momentum shifted completely when Liberec’s Toumani Diakité received a straight red card just past the hour mark.
Karviná capitalised swiftly on the man advantage. Ayaosi turned provider in the 67th minute for Aboubacar Traoré to put the hosts ahead, before repeating the feat in the 77th minute by setting up Pavel Kačor to seal the win.
The victory pushes Karviná to 8th place in the standings with 36 points.
