Abductors of a businessman in Aganya Community in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State may have nowhere to hide their victim or leeway to escape as all exit points in the area have been shut down by security operatives.
A top security source, who spoke with Kristina Reports on condition of anonymity, disclosed that a joint security operation was ongoing at the moment.
According to him, the Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy, and Department of State Services, among others were involved in the operation to rescue the abductee.
“All exits points have been closed down with active patrols ongoing, they have nowhere to go with their captive.”
“We’re asking residents to volunteer information about these criminals as soon as they have it. We shall leave no stone unturned until we rescue the victim.”
Kristina Reports learnt that the Bodo-Bonny Road, all the waterways around Bonny, as well as Macaulay Street have been cordoned off.
Three abductors reportedly whisked away a businessman from his residence at Aganya Community in Bonny LGA at about 7pm on Monday, March 23, 2026.
Residents of the area told Kristina Reports that the hoodlums, who were masked and wielding AK 47 rifles, sped away in their victim’s car into Macaulay Street, ostensibly to escape through the Macaulay Creek into the Admiralty Creek and out to their destination.
