Hull City have suffered another injury blow as Semi Ajayi is set to miss the next two months after picking up a hamstring problem at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Ajayi was forced off in added time during Nigeria’s third-place victory over Egypt on Sunday.
Semi Ajayi Out: A Big Setback for Hull City
Scans have confirmed hamstring damage, meaning the centre-back could be sidelined for up to seven weeks.
His absence adds to Hull City’s injury struggles, with two star players, Mo Belloumi and Darko Gyabi, already out with long-term injuries.
Despite the loss of Ajayi, Hull City showed resilience under Sergej Jakirovic in their recent game, cruising to a 3-0 win at Preston North End.
All they needed were goals from Liam Millar, Akin Famewo, and Oli McBurnie to secure all three points on the road.
Hull City Shows Depth Despite Ajayi’s Injury
The Tigers were forced into further changes when Nigerian forward Babajide David went off early in the second half due to cramp and was replaced by Yu Hirakawa.

Hirakawa immediately set up McBurnie for Hull’s third goal. However, David is expected to be available for the weekend fixture.
Hull City’s ability to win convincingly without Semi Ajayi shows their resilience, but the Tigers will find a way to manage their squad carefully to maintain momentum while key defenders recover.
