Super Eagles forward Simy Nwankwo is back in the spotlight after inspiring Al-Orobah FC to another vital victory in the Saudi First Division League.

Following his match-winning assist in the previous game, Simy Nwankwo found his scoring touch again to guide Al-Orobah to a 3-1 away win over Al Batin.

The 33-year-old opened the scoring in the Round 27 clash, continuing his impressive run of form in front of goal.
Simy Nwankwo has now recorded four goals and an assist in his last six matches, underlining his importance to the team.
His overall numbers are even more remarkable, with 23 goal contributions (21 goals and 2 assists) in just 20 appearances this season.
Al Batin thought they had taken the lead midway through the first half, but their effort was ruled out.
Simy Nwankwo made them pay soon after, scoring to give Al-Orobah the advantage heading into halftime.
The hosts eventually equalised in the second half, but the game quickly swung back in Al-Orobah’s favour.
Two late goals sealed the win, ensuring a second straight victory for the visitors.
Al-Orobah now sit fifth on the table with 50 points and will look to extend their winning streak in their next outing.

Meanwhile, Christian Ebere endured a mixed night in Mexico’s Liga MX despite getting on the scoresheet.

However, the equaliser proved short-lived as the opposition regained the lead early in the second half.
Christian Ebere delivered a strong performance and featured for 80 minutes as Cruz Azul pushed for another goal.
The closing stages turned chaotic, with the opposing team reduced to nine men after two red cards.
