Super Eagles striker Simy Nwankwo delivered a statement performance on Wednesday night, scoring a brilliant hat-trick to lead Al Orobah to a dominant 3–1 away win over Al Tai in the Saudi Division One.
The Nigerian forward was the clear difference, showing class, strength, and composure in front of goal.

Simy Nwankwo Leads Al Orobah Charge
From the opening minutes, his movement troubled the Al Tai defence, and it did not take long for the pressure to pay off.
In the 11th minute, he calmly finished after a well-timed pass from Darwin González to give Al Orobah an early lead.
Both of them combined beautifully well yet again to deliver another one after the half-hour mark. González turned provider once more, and Simy made no mistake, doubling the advantage with another assured finish.
Al Orobah went into the break firmly in control, thanks largely to their leading man.
Al Tai responded with more intent after the restart and pulled one back in the 66th minute through Törles Knöll’s penalty. The goal briefly shifted momentum, but Al Orobah stayed calm and managed the game with discipline.
Deep into stoppage time, Simy completed his hat-trick in style. Latching onto a pass from Anass Najah in the 98th minute to seal the win and earn for himself a deserved Man of the Match award.
Al Orobah Rise as Simy Shines
The hat-trick ended a short goal drought for the 33-year-old, whose last goal came on November 22, 2025.

He now has 17 goals in 13 Saudi First Division appearances this season, along with one assist, and sits 13 goals clear at the top of Al Orobah’s scoring chart.
The victory moves Al Orobah up to third place on the Saudi Division One table with 40 points, eight behind leaders Abha.
With two wins and a draw in their last three matches, confidence is growing ahead of a crucial clash against the league leaders next Tuesday.
