Durosinmi struck in the 87th minute at the Arena Garibaldi – Stadio Romeo Anconetani, heading home to cancel out Atalanta’s lead and secure a vital point for his new side.

The goal capped an impressive cameo from the 23-year-old, who was introduced in the 64th minute and needed just 19 minutes to make his mark.

The former Viktoria Plzeň striker narrowly missed out on Nigeria’s Super Eagles squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, but his composure on the big stage showed why he remains firmly on the national team radar.

The match itself was a tight contest, with few clear chances in the first half. Pisa enjoyed spells of possession but lacked sharpness in the final third, while Atalanta were kept quiet by a disciplined home defence.

The visitors broke the deadlock late on through Nikola Krstović, seemingly ending Pisa’s resistance.

However, Durosinmi came to the rescue at the death. Rising highest to meet Mehdi Léris’ precise cross, the Super Eagles hopeful powered home a header to deny the visitors a fourth straight win.

The result extended Pisa’s run as Serie A’s draw specialists to 11 and earned Durosinmi the man-of-the-match award on his league debut.
