Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, set a historic milestone on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
Her song “What You Need” debuted at number 93 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The entry brought Tems’ total Hot 100 appearances to seven.
She became the first African female artist to reach this milestone.
Tems’ previous Hot 100 entries include “Wait For U” with Future and Drake, “Essence” with Wizkid and Justin Bieber, “Fountains” with Drake, “Free Mind,” “Move” with Beyoncé and Grace Jones, and “Raindance” with Dave.
“Raindance” debuted at number 89 on the Hot 100 for the week of February 3, 2026.
