According to Him, the reconstruction of the road came after the President saw a need for the immediate reconstruction of three roads in the country that are pivotal to economic growth and development.

Roads to be reconstructed are Mokwa–Bida Road (120km), Mokwa–Makeri Road (63km) and Bida–Labata Road (123.5km), all in Niger State, which will be reconstructed using reinforced concrete pavement to ensure durability and long-term value.

In a statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the Minister of Works on Media, Francis Nwaze, the Minister expresses his heart felt gratitude to the President for the swift approval given to the request of reconstructing the dilapidated roads.

“The Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi, has expressed deep appreciation to Mr. President for these strategic approvals, noting that the projects fall within critical national economic corridors and will significantly enhance connectivity, trade, and development.”
