Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has publicly clashed with social media influencer Dami Foreign following a series of online posts that escalated after her child was dragged into the conversation.
The incident unfolded on X, formerly known as Twitter, in early January 2026 and quickly attracted widespread attention across Nigeria’s social media space.

The tension peaked on Monday , January 5, 2026, when Dami Foreign shared a video of Tiwa Savage and her son, Jamil Balogun, at a public event.
He captioned the video:
“Omo, why’s Tiwa’s son frowning?”
The post triggered backlash from many social media users, who criticised the influencer for involving a minor in online commentary.
On January 6, 2026, Tiwa Savage responded on her verified X account, issuing a stern warning to the influencer.
She wrote:
“I dare you to post anything about my child again and THIS WILL MOVE BEYOND TWITTER.”
In another post addressing his repeated commentary about her, the singer added:
“The obsession with me is loud but your relevance is missing.”
Her response immediately went viral, with many fans and observers backing her stance and insisting that children should never be dragged into online disputes.
Later on January 6, 2026, Dami Foreign issued a public apology on X following the backlash.
He wrote:
“Dear @TiwaSavage, I’m sorry if you got offended by some of the tweets I made about you.”
” You must be very angry and hurt for you to have called me out.”
” I want you to know that I don’t mean bad or de@th for you or your son.”
“There are lots of positive tweets I’ve made about you that you’ve probably never seen, I promise, it’s all love from this side.”
” I sincerely apologise.”
As of the time of filing this report, there is no verified response from Tiwa Savage acknowledging or replying to the apology.
The incident has continued to fuel conversations around online harassment, boundaries on social media and the protection of children from public scrutiny.
