It was a night of contrasting results for Nigerian attackers abroad, with Uche Obiogumu securing a vital win in Germany while Anthony Okpotu suffered a late defeat in Saudi Arabia.

In the German Regionalliga, 21-year-old Uche Obiogumu was the hero for Nürnberg II.
Obiogumu Propels Nürnberg II to Victory
Following a scoreless and tightly contested first half against TSV Aubstadt, Obiogumu took matters into his own hands just four minutes after the restart.
He unleashed a spectacular long-range effort that proved to be the only goal of the game. This 1-0 victory was essential, as it kept Nürnberg II sitting comfortably at the top of the league standings.
Heartbreak for Okpotu in Saudi Arabia
Over in the Saudi Arabian Division One, veteran striker Anthony Okpotu experienced a frustrating evening with Al Jandal.
Facing off against Jeddah at the Al-Jouf University Stadium, Al Jandal fell behind early in the second half.
Okpotu showed his class by netting a 70th-minute equaliser, momentarily bringing his team back into the fight.

However, the comeback was spoiled in the dying moments of the match when Jeddah scored a stoppage-time winner to secure a 2-1 result.
