Super Falcons forward Uchenna Kanu continued her incredible scoring form, delivering yet another standout performance to lead Cruz Azul Women to a dominant victory in Mexico’s Liga MX Femenil.

The 28-year-old forward showed sharp movement and clinical finishing, bouncing back strongly after her brace in the previous game. Her performance ensured Cruz Azul returned to winning ways in emphatic fashion.
This marks Uchenna Kanu’s second hat-trick of the season as she continues to prove her importance to the team’s attacking force.
She has now scored in back-to-back matches, taking her tally to 10 goals in her last eight games and 11 across all competitions this season.
Cruz Azul started brightly, with Kanu opening the scoring in the 14th minute before doubling the lead just 11 minutes later. Ana Martínez added a third after the break, before Kanu sealed the rout in the 88th minute.
Adugbe and Duru lead Žalgiris to emphatic victory
It was also a memorable outing for Olamide Adugbe and Joy Duru, who both played key roles in MFA Žalgiris Women’s convincing 4-0 victory over FK Transinvest in Lithuania.
Joy Duru set the tone early, opening the scoring just minutes into the game to give Žalgiris full control. The team dominated proceedings from start to finish, leaving their opponents with little chance to respond.

Olamide Adugbe added the third goal shortly after the hour mark, continuing her impressive run of form. She has now scored three goals this season, having earlier netted a brace in the opening fixture.
Ugnė Lazdauskaitė also impressed with a brace, helping Žalgiris seal a comprehensive win that lifts them to third place on the table with six points from three matches.
