The Mayor of Housing, My-ACE China has asserted that visitations to orphanages should not be for societal validation but to meet Christ, just as he urged orphans to strive harder and focus more on the heavenly Father rather than other children.

Mayor China made this assertion on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026 at Priesthood Orphanage in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The real estate success strategist who is known to be a very busy man, a man hard to track down, was found swarmed by children who are identified by the home as ‘priests’.

China is known to be meeting with the busiest men and women and is on call with industry leaders in most state capitals and countries. Yet, on this Easter Sunday, China was traced to Plot 11 Miracle Estate, Girl School Road, Elelenwo, in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

The place is called Priesthood Orphanage. There, the children are seen to be pure priests, conversant with every portion of the Bible, and fervent in fierce prayers. The children are said to have no hope other than in Christ Jesus and their Mummy, Blessing Echenwo.

Responding to inquiries about his presence in such a place, the Mayor of Housing described himself as the happiest orphan alive. “I lost my father in 1983 at the age of four, and I was brought up under a widow. In 2017, I became a full orphan.

“I became the most fortunate orphan when I discovered the real father and mother of orphans, when I found that God is the direct father of orphans. And having realized my full potential as an orphan, other orphans are more or less my siblings. So, I am here because they are my siblings, first of all.”

“I am here because they are God, because Mother Teresa said, ‘Don’t look at the poor as if they are Christ, look at the poor because they are Christ.’ So, on the day of the resurrection, Christ is the reason for the season. So, I had to come and celebrate with Christ.”

“Those little people you saw there are Christ because on the judgment day, it is written in Matthew 25 that as you did to the least of these my brethren, so you did unto me.”

“So, I came here today to do Easter with Jesus Christ in heavenly spiritual terms and with my siblings in physical worldly terms.”

“A lot of people think that spending huge sums on orphans has no direct profit in such venture. So, why is China so determined to do some of the big things people hear that he is promising them, when nobody will reward him?”

His response sounded shocking; “If God was not a rewarder of those that diligently seek him, I would not be a Christian. I’m a Christian because in Hebrews 11:6, He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him, and in Genesis 8:22, it says as long as the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest time will never cease”.

“And in Proverbs it says he that giveth to the poor lendeth unto the Lord, and that which he giveth, he shall receive a hundredfold. These are not promises; these are practical experiences I am living.”

“I am who I am today on the back of the seeds sown on such avenues and altars. So, I am not coming to do it for societal validation. I’m not coming to do it because someone coerced me. I’m coming to do it because I’ve tasted and seen that the Lord is good.”

“I’m not following God because I want to go to heaven. I’m following God because He’s a rewarder, and He has been rewarding me exceedingly and abundantly above all I could ever ask or think. And I’ll never stop doing for Him, seeking Him, and giving Him because Luke 6:38 says, give and it shall come back to you—good measures, pressed down, shaken together, running over.”

“That’s what made the Mayor of Housing. If you have self-made men and God-made men, the Mayor of Housing is a Giving-made man. I am who I am today on the altar and the principle and backbone of giving to God and receiving from God.”

More shocking however was his advice to orphans as he expects them to achieve far more than others: “The advice I give to orphans is for them to get the epiphany I got. I became the happiest orphan alive when I got the epiphany that the people that are privileged to have earthly fathers and mothers are not privileged because they lose sight of their heavenly father and mother.”

“But when you’re an orphan, you have no option than to focus on your heavenly father and mother, and they become both your heavenly and earthly father and mother.”

“My advice to them is to be good ambassadors of their real father and mother who art in heaven, and they should do better—ten times better—than those with earthly fathers because if God is your father, an African proverb says when God sends you on an errand, you break the door with audacity.”

In his remarks, Jeremy Nwachukwu, now the Charity Director to the Mayor of Housing, counselled the children on how to live for Christ right at the early stages of life.

In her appreciation words, Mrs. Echenwo said orphans face numerous challenges that need both the government and kind-spirited citizens to wade into. She urged partners who support the centre to keep up the spirit, knowing that God in heaven does not forsake those who help orphans and the poor.
