Evomec Global Services Limited (EGSL) says its ongoing Operation Zero Pothole, which is part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), is a joint initiative with the Bonny Local Government aimed at making the roads around Bonny motorable especially during the festive season.
Chief Executive Officer of Evomec, High Chief Peter Esievo gave this hint on Sunday, December 14, 2025 in an interview with Kristina Reports in Bonny, Rivers State.

“It is a demonstration of our alignment and support to the desire of the Chairman of Bonny Local Government, Amasenibo Abinye Pepple, to ensure that our roads are motorable and free of potholes, especially during this festive season.”
Checks by Kristina Reports around Bonny showed ongoing road works by the company at diverse locations such as Abalamabie, Akiama and Water Well Roads with plans to also cover other parts of the town.
Kristina Reports team witnessed rolling in progress at Water Wells and Akiama junction; sand and cement placement, road cutting and asphalt placement in progress along Abalamabie Road thus smoothening out the area in front of Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny.

Along the Water Wells Road and Akiama junction potholes covering were seen completed after stone base placement done on cut-out sections.
The team also witnessed the company vehicles handling debris evacuation along Abalamabie Road all the way to Simidia junction; staff of the company doing sand-cement mix, precast slab formwork and rebar preparation, precast slab concrete placement, as well as sand-cement placement along the Abalamabie Road.
High Chief Esievo commended the current leadership of the LGA for the vision, pointing out that “motorists spend a lot on fixing the shocks on their vehicle which are usually damaged due to potholes”, stressing that with the ongoing works there will be some reprieve for vehicle owners in Bonny.
In line with its corporate policy on partnerships and collaborations for development, Evomec Global Services Limited (EGSL) has continued to partner public and private entities in driving developmental initiatives such as the ongoing Operation Zero Pothole.
