Amanyanabo Cup: Evomec CEO Doles Out Largesse for Winners

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Evomec Global Services Limited (EGSL), High Chief Peter Esievo says he identifies with the vision of the Amanyanabo of Bonny Kingdom of deploying Sports as a platform for youth development.

High Chief Esievo said this on Sunday, December 16, 2025 during the finals of the 2025 edition of the just concluded Amanyanabo Football Tournament in Bonny, Rivers State.

The sports enthusiast doled out the sum of N5million as a top up to the prize money for the winner, Ibani United FC; N2.5million, first runner-up, Young Talents FC; N1.5million, and third place winner, Beautiful Strikers FC, N1million.

Esievo, who was one of the special guests at the grand finale of the tournament, was overwhelmed by the performance of the two finalists, Ibani United and Young Talents, who thrilled spectators including the Amanyanabo of Bonny, His Majesty, King Edward Pepple, Chairman of Bonny LGA, Abinye Pepple, and General Manager of Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG), Nnamdi Anowi, among others.

Speaking after the match, High Chief Esievo thanked the organizers, Graftons Entertainment, for a successful tournament, noting that it has, so far, served as a source of unity in Bonny Kingdom.

“I’m grateful for the organizers of this tournament, this has been one of the sources of uniting our people in Bonny Kingdom, and this, I will be donating 2.5 million naira to the winners and 1.5 million naira to the second team”.

He further pledged to support and sponsor three best players of the tournament to Europe to further their career in football.

“The three best players that will be selected by the management, I will sponsor them to Europe”, he said.

High Chief Esievo’s firm, Evomec Global Services Limited (EGSL) has over the years sustained its investment in youth development, especially, using Sports as a vehicle for achieving that objective.
