Dr. Sylvanus maintained that there’s a dire need to have a pathway in order to advance sustainability in the blue economy.

Furthermore, he said there’s also a need for a roadmap to ensure that the plight of people bedevilled with marine debris and other pollution is nipped up in a bud.

While speaking to Kristina Reports, Dr. Sylvanus made it known that the association is putting every policy in place to ensure that regulatory bodies are set up and they become a functional part of the system as time goes on.

He called on relevant stakeholders to pull resources together to ensure that the Maritime agency in Nigeria has a very clear vision and mission to accomplish in years to come. He insisted that cohesion and being goal driven is one important attribute the stakeholders need to possess to enjoy the fullest, what the Maritime sector has in stock..
